Our Vision, Values & Ethos

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment that prepares our pupils to be happy, confident citizens.

The Oaks is a school that nurtures its uniquely talented individuals (pupils and staff) providing them with a love of, and a fulfilment from,  life-long learning. 

We believe passionately that everyone in our school community has the right to succeed and make considered, thoughtful choices. It is our role as a school to provide the  curriculum, support and opportunities that will guide each individual along the pathway towards successful independence and responsibility.

Everyone at The Oaks is committed to giving, sharing and developing the skills needed to become confident, successful and responsible citizens that have a positive impact on their community. 

This is exemplified through ‘The Oaks Big 5’ which consists of our school motto ‘Roots to grow, Wings to fly’ and core values ‘Kindness, Ambition and Respect’ that run as a thread through everything we do.
