Curriculum Overview
Our Curriculum
At The Oaks, the holistic needs of all the children are at the heart of everything we do at our school. The children follow a broad and varied curriculum which is carefully balanced ensuring that the key life skills of English and maths are central to ensure that our children are successful and well-equipped for the next stage in their educational journey.
Through our curriculum, we encourage our children to be curious, ask questions, take risks in their learning, challenge themselves and set challenging goals. This is underpinned by our school values - Kindness, Respect, Ambition.
Our wider curriculum at The Oaks is designed to help children problem solve, make links, know more and remember more.
National Curriculum
The National Curriculum (NC) provides both the content and the framework for all that we teach at The Oaks Primary School, in Key Stage 1 and 2.
